Those nights of reckless abandonment and negative capability* that are still alive even in our adult lives when we play. The sense of wonder never has to go away and can be restored if damaged. "Wonder on a Starry Night" is part of my "eternal childhood" series, a series that personally celebrates wonder and healing and the recovery of innocence and wholeness in the midst of chronic illness and trauma. But it is also the celebration of the spirit of wonder and feeling of connectedness in general, one that can get lost in the adult workaday world.
* "I mean Negative Capability, that is when man is capable of being in uncertainties. Mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason." --John Keats
